TRAINING
Training for horse and rider is available at Thundry Farm with Corinne Bracken or Christine Shubrook for show jumping and with Lizzie Murray for dressage. Training is open to both livery clients and visiting clients and can be provided via private sessions or shared sessions (2-3 people).
Complete Livery clients will receive a weekly training session from Christine included in the price. There is also the option of a discounted rate for both shared and private sessions with Corinne.

Show Jumping Training
Thundry provides excellent training facilities with a 25m X 50m sand and rubber school and a jump field, on sandy soil, with a full set of jumps.
Corinne Bracken worked for Thundry Farm for over 20 years as the professional rider and trainer. During that time Christine was Corinne’s ground person and together they developed young horses. As Corinne’s talent for riding developed she and Christine attended clinics presented by many international riders and their enthusiasm and knowledge of training increased. Corinne is a BSJA Accredited Coach, Junior & Young Rider Teams Chef d’Equipe and was awarded BSJA Coach of the year 2007.
In 2007 Christine decided to gain the qualifications to recognise her own talents as a coach. Today’s clients recognise that Christine has an ability to encourage the rider to develop their own skills, whilst providing informative instruction to help them train their horses. Recently Christine has been accepted on to the UKCC level 3 training course.
Both Corinne and Christine believe that riders and horses should be confident and enjoy their sessions in order to reach their goals. This is achieved by a calm and methodical approach to your training needs. Some clients have lessons with Corinne some with Christine, some swop between the two depending on availability. We really don’t mind as we work together and our styles are compatible.
Christine, It was a great feeling to get my horse from the insecure place he was 3 months ago to the two double clears with so much confidence I can’t tell you how good I feel and I am sure he does too!
I have learnt more about accuracy, correctness and balance in the last few weeks than I feel I have gained in the last year or two and I have to thank you for that.

Clinics
A variety of clinics are arranged which in general include flat work, grid work and jumping a course. Each clinic is different so that they do not become repetitive. The dates of these clinics are mailed to clients on our mailing list.
Residential Training Programmes
If you want to have an intensive training programme over a few days or base yourself with us for a bit longer then this can be arranged to suit your goals and requirements.
Booking a lesson:
Christine is the resident coach so is available thoughout the week, including week ends, in the afternoons. Call or email to book a slot to fit your schedule.
Corinne is normally at the farm on a weekly basis. Her regular slots are on week days, in the morning and are group sessions of no more than three people. Please email to be put on our mailing list to receive notification of the dates she is coaching. If you wish to attend you just need to email your prefered date and the level of horse you wish to bring and you will grouped with other similar riders.

Dressage Training
Training is provided on a one to one basis in 45 minute sessions by Lizzie Murray.
Christine has done wonders for my confidence in just a few sessions. She actually listened to my concerns & then made positive and constructive comments on my riding. Rather than try to change me or my horse she has worked with us to improve what we can achieve as a partnership.
