Thundry Farm provides a good base for the competitive owner rider.  Livery owners have the use of all facilities (e.g. school, show jumps) and have preferential training rates with Corinne Bracken

The yard has good access to excellent hacking, on sand, in the Surrey Hills.  Although we are near good hacking we are also near a good motorway network making access to nearby shows easy.

Thundry offers the highest level of care and attention to detail to ensure that your horse is kept comfortable and in peak condition.  We really do, do what we say we do!  Your horse will be cared for, it won’t be left under rugged or out in the field when it is raining.  You won’t be distracted worrying about your horse when you should be doing other things.

Thundry is for all and you don’t have to be competitive or compete at a high level to  join the team!!  Mostly liveries show jump, but we have eventers and hackers too.

Livery

We have two levels of livery.  The first is a complete service designed for those who have limited time.  They need to have their horses tacked up and waiting so they can get on to the next task.  They need to be confident that their horse will be washed off properly, rugged appropriately and all the details taken care of.  Routine care such as clipping and kit washing will be performed. Someone to liaise with vets, blacksmith and physio, keep on top of annual injections.  In fact a P.A. for your horse!!

The second, basic livery, is for those that have a bit more time available on a regular basis.  They are happy to exercise and care for their horse and it’s kit on a daily basis but don’t want the heavy jobs of mucking out or the hassle of ordering feed and shaving, dealing with staff cover and other yard duties.  They want to be able to visit their horse once a day, to perform all the necessary tasks to make their horse comfortable, and then be able to leave knowing that someone is going to be watching over their horse and feeding at  regularly times.  They want the advantage of  good facilities and training,  people on hand to cover for a routine days off and the odd days they can’t be there, and company to ride with.

The livery charge is:

Complete Livery   £235.00 per week

Basic Livery         £180.00  per week.

Holiday Livery     £40.00  per day

Full terms of business are detailed in the livery agreement.

Thundry is lucky enough to be serviced by one of the best veterinary practices in the UK,  The Liphook Equine Hospital.

We also have contacts with a number of equine practitioners for horses that need body work to keep them at peek performance.

The yard is staffed by 3 grooms who live on site and managed by the owner who also lives on site.

The yard has 16 boxes, of which 12 have full time liveries.  We aim to keep the yard small in order to provide a personnel service and so facilities are not overcrowded.  The remaining boxes are used for holiday liveries or those visiting for training.

Horses on full livery have an individual weekly work program  which takes into account its needs and what work the owner is planning to do within the week.  This ensures every horse has the correct amount of work and a variety.  You can do as much or as little with your horse as you wish, we just need to know your plans.

The yard comprises of:

· an American barn style of 16 boxes all with automatic drinkers

· outdoor arena 50mX25m

· lunge arena

· dressage arena 60mX20m

· jump field

· horsewalker

· individual turn out paddocks

· Kitchen area.

· Shower

· Direct access to bridleway.
