Who are Thundry Farm?
In 1987, the owners Paul & Christine Shubrook, when they could not find the facilities they needed in a livery yard for their own horses, bought Thundry Farm and set about setting up a yard with the main focus being the breeding and production of sports horses. Corinne Bracken was employed as the professional rider to provide training to both horse and rider.
From this starting point the yard grew and Corinne produced a number of horses, both home bred and ‘brought in’. One of which was Catherston Zulu who was BSJA National Grade B Champion in 2000.
Today, Corinne has retried from competitive riding. She continues to use the farm as her training base and is a BSJA Accredited Coach. She is also assistant Chef d’ Equipe to the British Young Riders Squad. The farm, under the daily management of Christine, offers a range of services for the competitive horse owner, especially those who due to other commitments are not able to tend to their horse on a regular basis.
All at Thundry like the yard to keep the feel of a private yard, a friendly place where people can come to enjoy their horse and riding, whatever their interests or capabilities! Thundry are proud of the fact that none of their liveries have ever left because they have been dissatisfied with the service they or their horse has received.
The care of the horses is based on the same formula that we have used over nearly 20 years for the production of our own competition horses. We have also attained BHS Approval as an independent assessment of our service.

The livery is a fully inclusive service, we provide or do everything that a horse needs to be fit, healthy and happy, including clipping and exercise regime. This means that you truly don’t need to worry about your horse when you are busy with other things. We really do what we say we do! The livery page contains all the details & prices.
Once on the yard liveries become part of the ‘team’ and are given as much back up as we can. If you want to try your hand at show jumping and don’t know where to start, we will help get you on the road.
Dressage training is provided by Lizzie Murray. She has competed internationally and worked with the highest level of horse. However, she is still happy to train all capabilities of horse and rider just to help them get the most and achieve their goals.
The training page contains all the details & prices.
Show jump training is available at Thundry Farm with Corinne Bracken or Christine Shubrook. Thundry provides excellent training facilities with a sand and rubber school and a jump field, on sand, with a full set of jumps.
During the 20 years that Corinne worked for Thundry Christine was her ‘eyes on the ground’ and together they developed young horses. As Corinne’s talent for riding developed she and Christine attended clinics presented by many international riders and their enthusiasm and knowledge of training increased.
Corinne is a BSJA Accredited Coach, Young Rider Team Trainer and was awarded BSJA Coach of the year 2007.
Christine is also a qualified coach and her clients recognise that Christine has an ability to encourage the rider to develop their own skills, whilst providing informative instruction to help them train their horses. Her objective is for her clients to have fun and be confident whilst increasing their knowledge.
