Training

Corinne Bracken provides regular training sessions at a discounted rate to liveries.  Corinne has jumped internationally herself and trains all levels from pony club & riding club through to international riders.  Corinne is known for her enthusiasm in her teaching.  She is very accomplished at getting the best performance from her pupils by instilling confidence and giving them and their mounts the technical knowledge required to successfully negotiate a course.

Dressage training is provided by Lizzie Murray.  She has competed internationally and worked with the highest level of horse.  However, she is still happy to train all capabilities of horse and rider just to help them get the most and achieve their goals.

Who are Thundry Farm?

In 1987, the owners Paul & Christine Shubrook, when they could not find the facilities they needed in a livery yard for their own horses, brought Thundry Farm and set about setting up a yard with the main focus being the breeding and production of sports horsesCorinne Bracken was employed as the professional rider to provide training to both horse and rider.

From this starting point the yard grew and Corinne produced a number of horses, both home bred and ‘brought in’.  One of which was Catherston Zulu who was BSJA National Grade B Champion in 2000.

Today, Corinne has retried from competitive riding. She continues to use the farm as her training base and is a BSJA Accredited Coach. She is also assistant Chef d’ Equipe to the British Young Riders Squad.  The farm, under the daily management of Christine, offers a range of services for the competitive horse owner, especially those who due to other commitments are not able to tend to their horse on a regular basis.

Livery

All at Thundry like the yard to keep the feel of a private yard, a friendly place where people can come to enjoy their horse and riding, whatever their interests or capabilities!  Thundry are proud of the fact that none of their liveries have ever left because they have been dissatisfied with the service they or their horse has received.

The care of the horses is based on the same formula that we have used over nearly 20 years for the production of our own competition horses.  We have also attained BHS Approval as and independent assessment of our service.
